NEET Registrations To Start Soon; NTA Seeks Approval For Online Mode

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently asked the Health Ministry if the medical entrance test - NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) - could be held online, twice a year. Besides, it added that conducting the entrance test twice through the conventional pen and paper method would be hard to implement. The NTA letter surfaced while the NEET-2021 registration has been delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic. However, the testing agency said that it would soon announce the official dates. Earlier, on December 17, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank confirmed the NEET-2021 would be conducted as soon as possible. Meanwhile, academicians have suggested the students to focus on preparation rather than worrying about the fresh dates. Since the registration will be online, the students have been advised to be ready with the documents needed for NEET-2021 registration to avoid haste.
