NTPC To Commission India's Largest Floating Solar Power Plant In May
The National Thermal Power Corporation is all set to commission India's largest floating solar power plant at Ramagundam in May 2021. The Rs 423-crore floating project of 100 MW capacity will be spread over 450 acres on the water surface of Sri Ram Sagar Project reservoir. NTPC's Executive Director (southern region) CV Anand said the floating plants are economical as the terrestrial photo-voltaic plants require more cost than the floating ones.
