Global Food Price Rise by 2% in a Row in August, Says FAO
On September 3, the Food Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations announced that the global food price has risen for the third consecutive month in August due to high demand. The FAO food price index tracked the international prices of the most commonly traded food commodities, which averaged to 96.1 points in August. Reportedly, the points have reached the highest by 2% than the previous month.
