Earthquake Of 3.5 Magnitude Jolts J&K’s Katra
An earthquake of 3.5 magnitude on the Richter scale hit Jammu and Kashmir’s Katra on September 8, informed National Centre for Seismology (NCS). The quake occurred 62 kms East-North-East of Katra at around 7:52 am. Reportedly, the earthquake had a depth 10 kms below the ground. Further details on the matter are awaited. Notably, NCS is the nodal agency of government of India that monitors earthquake activities in the country.
