Indian Army At Eastern Ladakh To Be Equipped With Sig-16 Assault Rifles
Indian Army at eastern Ladakh is set to get 72,500 Sig-16 Assault Rifles as the government has approved the procurement of the weapons from the US. Reportedly, the US-imported guns will replace the existing Indian Small Arms System (Insas) rifles. The troops fighting on the LoC and LAC will be given 1.5 lakh imported rifles and the rest will be provided with AK-203 rifles, which are jointly produced by India and Russia.
