Leeds United Football Club Donates £25,000 For Free School Meals Campaign
Inspired by Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford MBE, players of the Leeds United Football Club (LUFC) have donated £25,000 for free school meals campaign. A campaign was launched with #endchildfoodpoverty after Rashford's request for extension of free school meals till easter 2021 got rejected. However, Rashford's efforts made several organisations to support the campaign. LUFC Player Liam Cooper tweeted, "No children should ever go hungry. £25k guaranteed from the squad."
