First Time Since COVID Outbreak, India Repatriates 24 Pakistani Prisoners
Marking the first repatriation of Pakistani prisoners after the COVID-19 outbreak, India on November 24 sent over 20 prisoners back home in Pakistan. Through the Attari border, 24 prisoners, including three civilians and 21 fishermen, who had completed their jail-term were repatriated. Earlier, eight Pakistani prisoners were released on March 14 by the Indian government. Due to fishing in stormy weathers, Pakistani fishermen are often arrested for entering the Indian border.
