5 Coal-Fired Power Plants Shut Around Delhi To Curb Air Pollution

To curb air pollution in Delhi, five coal-fired power plants have temporarily been shut around the capital by the government. The decision came following the federal environment minister's panel on air pollution. Moreover, the construction work in Delhi and neighbouring cities, movements of trucks carrying non-essential goods have also been banned. Reportedly, it has also been advised to give 50% of government employees "work from home" until November 21.
