56% Firms Face Ransomware Attacks; $1.1 Mn Average Ransom Paid: Survey

Global Security Attitude Survey led by Cybersecurity company CrowdStrike has discovered that out of 2,200 respondents from around the world, 56% have faced ransomware attacks. Notably, in 2019, the figure was 42%. Besides, 27% of the victims have paid an average ransom of $1.1 million to retrieve data. In addition to it, 73% of respondents fear nation-backed attacks, especially from China. Moreover, 83% of the 300 Indian respondents fear another attack on their firms.
