Activist Setalvad, Former DGP Sreekumar Sent For 14-Days Judicial Custody In 2002 Gujarat Riots Case
An Ahmedabad court announced 14-days of judicial custody to activist Teesta Setalvad and former Director-General of Police RB Sreekumar. The two were arrested over the allegations of fabrication of evidence regarding the 2002 Gujarat riots cases. After being arrested, Setalvad and RB Sreekumar were produced before metropolitan magistrate SP Patel. During the hearing, the court sent the two to two weeks of judicial custody, for further investigation into the matter.
