Andhra Environment Deptt Releases Over 350 Baby Turtles Into Sea

The Andhra Pradesh administration on March 24 released more than 350 baby turtles into the sea at Visakhapatnam beach. Reportedly, the State Forest and Environment Department has released over 5,000 hatchlings so far while it had collected over 50,000 eggs from the beach. However, the survival of the endangered species has become endangered owing to the increased human activities in the seas, leading to events like oil spills that cause harmful pollution.
