Bangalore's Challengers Trounce Rajasthan's Royals; De Villiers Steals The Show
Royal Challengers Bangalore secured another victory in the IPL 2020 by defeating Rajasthan Royals in the 33rd match of the tournament. Steven Smith chose to bat after winning the toss, and this decision seemed favourable to him as well because Rajasthan got a 50-run opening partnership for the first time in the IPL-13. Uthappa shone in opening as his exhibition overtook Ben Stokes' performance. Smith, being the top performer for Rajasthan in the match, scored a fifty and guided the team to a fighting total of 177 runs. Chasing the target, RCB had a satisfying start, though they lost the wicket of Aaron Finch early. Paddikal and skipper Kohli kept RCB's scoreboard ticking in the middle overs without losing wickets. However, it was AB de Villiers who stole the limelight by his monstrous inning of 55 runs off just 22 balls. He hit 6 sixes and one four, helping RCB to win the match with 7 wickets in hand.
