China Allows Couples To Have Three Child After Birth Rate Falls
In a major shift in its two-child policy, Chinese government on May 31 allowed people to have maximum three children. The development came after the world’s most populous country reported slowest population growth in last decade since 1950s. President Xi Jinping also announced supportive measures including lowering the educational cost for families and stepping tax and housing support. Notably, China scrapped its one-child policy in year 2016.
