Election Commission Concludes Mamata Banerjee Was Not Attacked
The Election Commission on March 14 stated the Nandigram incident, in which West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee got injured, was an "accident" and not "attack". The conclusive statement was issued following the reports submitted by the state administration and two poll observers. The observers' report has blamed the "local police and CM's security" for the incident and has denied any "conspiracy". It also stated the CM suffered injuries due to the "suddenness" of the incident.
