ICC Approves Motera Pitch; Gives 'Average' Rating For Pink Ball Test

The International Cricket Council has approved the Motera stadium pitch giving it an 'average' rating. Reportedly, the pitch drew controversy after the recently concluded India-England pink-ball test that was completed in two days. As per ICC's updated ‘Rules and Regulations' page, the pitch was accorded ‘Good' for the fifth test and ‘Very Good’ for the first T20I. Reportedly, the ICC imposes sanctions on venues having substandard pitches or outfield.
