Karnataka CM Yediyurappa Resents Tamil Nadu's Cauvery Linking Project

Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa expressed his displeasure over his Tamil Nadu counterpart K Palaniswami's latest project linking Vellar-Vaigai-Gundar rivers with Cauvery. CM Palaniswami had laid the foundation for the Rs.14,400 crore riverine project to use 6,000 cubic feet of surplus water in arid zones. "We will not allow Tamil Nadu to do that. We will take tough measures," said CM Yediyurappa. Earlier, Karnataka initiated building a reservoir on its frontier with TN.
