Non-Muslim Rajasthan's Boy Tops Islamic Studies Entrance Exam In Kashmir
A philosophy-graduate, Shubham Yadav from Rajasthan, topped the entrance exam of Kashmir Central University for PG in Islamic Studies. While the 21-year-old Shubham aspires to be a civil servant, he became the first non-muslim, non-Kashmiri student to achieve the feat. He said the rise in Islamophobia and polarization attracted him towards the subject. Congratulating him, HOD Prof Hamidullah said, “students taking interest in studies to explore different culture is a welcome step.”
