Oscars: Academy Releases New Guidelines for Best Picture

The Award Academy on September 8, released guidelines which the filmmakers have to abide by to be eligible for Best Picture Oscar, 2024. The new guidelines on eligibility includes, certain percentage of colour people, women, disabilities, and people from LGBTQ community should be involved. “We believe inclusion standards will be a catalyst for long-lasting change in our industry,” said Academy President David Rubin and Chief Executive Dawn Hudson, in a joint statement.
