Pandemic Impacted 247 Million Indian School Students: UNICEF
According to a UNICEF data, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected nearly 247 million children in India as 1.5 million schools were forced to shut down. The data stated only one in four students, enrolled in elementary and secondary schools, had access to digital devices and internet connectivity. It also indicated that nearly six million students alarmingly dropped out even before the COVID-crisis began. The data suggested that approximately 888 million children faced similar impact worldwide.
