Placing World's First 6G Satellite Into Orbit, China Eyes Digital Power
China has placed world's first 6G satellite, along with other 12 satellites, into orbit from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in the Shanxi Province on November 6. The development is of significance since many other countries are still in the process of putting 5G in place. A Chinese embassy's tweet said the connectivity speed of 6G would be "over 100 times faster" than 5G. It uses high-frequency terahertz waves to increase the speed.
