PM Modi Says India Stands In Solidarity With France, Condemns Nice Attack
Prime Minister Narendra Modi showed his solidarity to France after it was jolted by a terrorist attack on October 29. PM Modi said, "I strongly condemn the recent terrorist attacks in France, including today's heinous attack in Nice inside a church." He also expressed condolences to the families of the victims and assured France that India will stand with it in the fight against terrorism. Recently, France has suffered several terrorist attacks after its President Emmanuel Macron made a contentious remark on Islam. Besides, President Macron has faced severe criticism from the Islamic countries as well. In the latest attack on October 29, a woman was beheaded in the French city of Nice by an unknown person who shouted "Allahu Akbar" before executing the crime. In a separate incident, a man was arrested for threatening a passerby with a gun. Meanwhile, a guard was also attacked in the Saudi Arabian French Consulate.
