Singer Bob Dylan Sells Copyright Of His 600+ Songs To Universal Music
Nobel Laureate American singer and songwriter Bob Dylan has sold the publishing rights of his over 600 songs to the Universal Music Publishing Group. The songs included compositions like “Blowin’ in the Wind” and “Like a Rolling Stone”. The deal will allow Universal to lease Dylan's compositions to advertisers, movie, television or video-game producers among others. Although the amount of the deal was undisclosed, the industry experts estimated it to be between $300-$500 million.
