South Africa Government Suspends National Cricket Board; Team Risks Ban
South African Olympic Body on September 10 has suspended Cricket South Africa (CSA) over the instances of "maladministration and malpractice". CSA received a letter from SASCOC, wherein the senior executives at the Proteas cricket board were directed to resign from the administrations. This can result in the Proteas team getting barred from playing the international matches as the ICC's rules forbid government interference in administration of any nation's cricket board.
