Tour de France: Cyclist Egan Bernal Quits After Suffering Back Pain
Defending Champion Egan Bernal withdrew from 'Tour de France' ahead of stage 17 after suffering back pain. The 23-year-old Columbian's title defence was brought to an end, after slipping behind by eight minutes in the pace, in the first major mountain stage where he finished in 16th position. "I agree that it is the right decision for me in the circumstances," Bernal said in a team statement.
