Tripura CM Claims Amit Shah Said To Form Govt In Sri Lanka, Nepal

Bhartiya Janta Party leader and Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb has claimed that the BJP was "planning to expand its footprint and establish its rule in Nepal and Sri Lanka." Sparking a controversy, he further said that the plan was conveyed by Amit Shah himself. Following the contentious remark, Biplab faced backlash from the state’s opposition demanding strict action against the "most undemocratic speech". Former minister Badal Chowdhury said this would hurt India's foreign policy.
