Twitter Prohibits Political Ads, Flags Manipulated Content
Twitter will implement strategic measures to crack down manipulative election-related content on their platform owing to the legislative assembly elections. Reportedly, Twitter banned political ads in 2019 and now aims to prevent prohibited political advertising by identifying and blocking ads from candidates and parties. Moreover, a culturally diverse team will be hired to tackle the attempts made to manipulate the platform. The phased polls are slated to begin on March 27.
