UN Asks Myanmar Military To Release Political Prisoner Aung San Suu Kyi
The UN General Assembly has asked the Myanmar's military to accept the results of elections and stop the supply of weapons. Furthermore, they urged to release political prisoners Aung San Suu Kyi. However, the General Assembly adopted a resolution backing 119 nations after the military toppled the democratic government. "We cannot live in a world where military coups become a norm. It is totally unacceptable," said UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
