Zimbabwe Cricketer Makes Emotional Plea For Sponsor Over His Glued Shoes

Zimbabwe cricketer Ryan Burl has made an emotional appeal for a sponsor on social media. Posting a photo of his worst-for-wear shoes, Burl tweeted, “Any chance we can get a sponsor so we don’t have to glue our shoes back after every series.” In over 4,000 interactions, many fans offered him help questioning the inequitable financial distribution among cricket nations. The all-rounder represented Zimbabwe in 46 internationals across formats.
