Flash Floods Claim Lives Of 39 People Including 9 Children In Afghanistan
New districts of Afghanistan were impacted by heavy rains, as 39 people have perished as a result of flash floods. Flash floods have claimed the lives of individuals in five provinces since July 5: Uruzgan (20), Ghazni (6), Nuristan (7), Paktya (3), and Zabul (3), with nine of them being children. Around 2,900 homes have been destroyed by the torrential rains, which have also affected daily life.

Taliban & Qatar To Sign Security Pact; Taliban's Defence Minister Returns From Qatar Visit
Upon Taliban's acting defence minister Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid's return from his Qatar visit, he said that Qatar is interested in signing a security pact with Afghanistan. He said that the agreement will be assessed by the officials. After which, a decision will be taken regarding signing of the said agreement. He further stated that he has requested Qatar's assistance in providing salaries, uniforms and equipments to Taliban forces.

Afghanistan Earthquake Kills At Least 255 People; Tremors Felt In Pakistan
The 6.1-magnitude earthquake that struck Afghanistan's eastern Paktika province on June 22 has claimed at least 255 lives. In Paktika, around 90 houses have been damaged, and more people are believed to be trapped beneath the wreckage. Rescue teams came via helicopters. The tremor was felt in Lahore, Islamabad, Multan, Quetta, and numerous other Pakistani cities, as well as Faisalabad, Abbottabad, Swat, Buner, Kohat, and Malakand.

ISIS Claimed Grenade Attack In Afghanistan Gurdwara Amid Prophet Remark
The Islamic State's Khorasan Province (IS-KP) conducted an attack on a Gurdwara in Afghanistan, as a revenge attack against the BJP leader's remark against Prophet Mohammad. ISIS claimed the attack and "Saturday's attack targeted Hindus and Sikhs and the "apostates" who protected them in "an act of support for the Messenger of Allah". In the attack, two people died, whereas seven people were left injured.

ISIS Terrorists Attack Karte Parwan Gurdwara In Kabul: Afghanistan
In Afghanistan's capital city of Kabul, ISIS terrorists have been firing indiscriminately inside Karte Parwan Gurdwara, on June 18. Reportedly, Sikh Sangat is stuck inside and the number of casualties have not been revealed yet. Meanwhile, security forces have cordoned off the area, and counter-terrorism motion is ongoing. Furthermore, an eyewitness stated that a security personnel was killed in the attack.

IED Explosion Kills 5 Taliban Militants & 1 Civilian In Afghanistan
An IED explosion in Afghanistan's Spin Boldak area killed at least five Taliban combatants and one civilian. The explosion happened early in the morning on June 9. Security personnel were dispatched to the scene to examine the incident. Blasts are not uncommon in Afghanistan; on June 4, a bomb occurred in Kabul's Police District-4 using explosives transported on a bicycle, according to the Kabul security agency.
