Hadijah Neamat, a Malaysian mother, placed a shred of white fabric outside her window as an appeal for assistance during the coronavirus lockdown. The #benderaputih (white flag) movement has gathered traction on social media in an effort to urge people to help others in need amid Malaysia's ongoing lockdown. Fortunately, a neighbor came over immediately after 73-year-old Neamat, raised the flag to help her with food and other supplies.
