A man allegedly killed his brother-in-law with a crowbar and chopped his body into several pieces for harassing his wife. The accused, Shafiq Ahmed Shaikh, alleged that 17-year-old Ishwar Putran, who was raised by Shaikh's wife's father, harassed his wife. In another incident of crimes against women, a man allegedly attacked and killed his wife with an axe in broad daylight in Sangrur. The incident reportedly occurred at the crowded Sunam Market area in Sangrur. As per reports, the man also attempted to commit suicide by consuming poison after attacking his wife in middle of the crowded market in Sangrur district. A Delhi girl's murder brutally shook the national capital, raising an alarming concern about the rising crimes. On July 28, Nargis (23) was killed brutally by a relative after she refused the marriage proposal. Her family said, "My sister did not want to marry him. Irfan is from Auraiya in Uttar Pradesh and came to our house around five to six years ago." The accused is arrested for further investigation.

A tomato farmer in Andhra Pradesh's Annammaya district was brutally strangled to death, said police on July 13. As per the initial investigation, the farmer was returning to his village from the field after earning Rs 30 lakhs from tomato sales. On his way, he was interrupted by a few unidentified men, with the intention of robbery attacked the farmer and murdered him. A case is registered for investigation.
In a horrific murder case, a man has been apprehended in Doda district for the savage killing of an elderly relative. He even courageously live-streamed the horrific incident on Facebook. The incident took place in the presence of the victim's daughter and granddaughter. The local police responded to the incident, arresting the perpetrator from a forest area. During the arrest, the accused injured himself with the murder weapon.

The wife of Kanhaiya Lal, who was killed brutally in Udaipur, Rajasthan, demanded the death penalty for her husband's murderer. The killing of a tailor in Udaipur has created a national ruckus, with political parties and leaders coming in support of the family. Notably, Kanhaiya, who supported suspended BJP MP Nupur Sharma, was getting threats and was murdered by two unidentified people. He even wrote to police, demanding security.
