Odisha Schools Suspended For 2 Days In Puri, Other Cities Owing To Flooding
The flood in the Mahanadi river system has displaced over 4.67 lakh people across 12 districts in Odisha. Angul, Bargarh, Boudh, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Khurda, Nayagarh, Puri, Sambalpur, and Subarnapur are the worst affected districts. Meanwhile, in Puri, the district government has ordered that all schools, both public and private, remain closed for two days due to the current flood situation in the district.

Schools, Universities Closed In UP's Moradabad On July 25, 26 Due To Kanwar Yatra
All educational institutions in Moradabad will be closed on July 25 and 26 as the Kanwar Yatra in Sawan (Shrawan) begins. Shailendra Kumar Singh, district magistrate, Moradabad said "All schools and colleges in Moradabad have been closed on Monday and Tuesday in view of the movement of Kanwariyas so that there is no disturbance in the traffic system." The 'Kanwar Yatra' is a yearly pilgrimage for worshippers of Lord Shiva.

Ford Motors To Soon Shut Down Its Indian Manufacturing Units
American Multinational Manufacturer Ford Motor Company will soon be shutting down its Indian Manufacturing plants and all operations in India. Reportedly, the announcement comes on September 9 as the company had to bear a heavy loss of almost $2 billion. "We are taking difficult, but necessary actions to deliver a sustainable Profitable Business," said Jim Farley, Ford Motors CEO.
