K'taka Dy-CM Asks Universities, Schools To Not Force Students Vacate Hostel
The Karnataka government has released an order instructing all schools and colleges not to compel students to vacate hostels during the new Covid-19 surge. The Deputy CM C N Ashwath Narayan said that students must not be forced to return home until exams for current session are over. Meanwhile, the pandemic-stricken closed educational institutions in the state asking students to go back home have faced protests from the students.

Karnataka: 5,500 Govt College Classrooms To Turn Smart In 6 Months
The Karnataka government on February 18 stated that 5,500 classrooms in state-run colleges will be converted into smart classrooms in next six months. Promising conversion of 2,500 classrooms in next two months, Karnataka Deputy CM Dr CN Ashwath Narayan affirmed that the classrooms will be equipped with high-speed internet.
