Bangladesh's Human Rights Commission Condemns Violence Against Hindus, Demands Probe
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of Bangladesh has strongly condemned the attack on Hindus during Durga Puja festival in Dhaka. The commission also demanded for a probe into the matter, and said that communal violence in a "secular country" is not acceptable. Meanwhile, on July 16, houses of Hindus were set ablaze in Sahapora area of Lohagara, Narail.

Alt News co-founder Mohammad Zubair has been sent to 14-day judicial custody by a Lakhimpur court, on July 11. Zubair's bail plea is scheduled to be heard on July 13. Zubair was arrested on June 28 over his tweet, which allegedly hurts religious sentiments. Furthermore, the court has also ordered Zubair to refrain from posting anything of social media.

1984 Anti-Sikh Riots: 5 Persons Arrested For Burning Down Building Which Charred 3 Persons To Death
In connection to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots in Kanpur, five more persons have been arrested by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Uttar Pradesh police, on June 23. The 1984 anti-Sikh riots claimed the lives of 127 people. The recently arrested accused were allegedly responsible for burning down a house which charred three people to death. The accused have now been sent to a 14-day judicial custody.

400 People Involved In Communal Clash Arrested In Indian States, Confirms Police
In various states, the police arrested over 400 people involved in the violent protests held amid remarks on Prophet Mohammed. On June 13, authorities said, amongst all arrested, 316 were from eight UP districts and 100 were arrested in West Bengal. In addition, the Ranchi police registered 25 FIRs against "thousands" of people for stone-pelting and violence. In many regions, section 144 was imposed and the internet was suspended.

Jahangirpuri Violence Case: Police Arrest 5 Persons Belonging To Same Family
Amid the ongoing probe in Jahangirpuri Violence case, police have arrested five people and apprehended one minor from the same family, on April 19. The accused in the case include Suken Sarkar, his brother Suresh Sarkar, sons Neeraj and Suraj, brother-in-law Sujith. Following the arrest, Suken's wife claimed that it was only her family members that were arrested, and that the action is a "conspiracy" against their community.

Violent Clash Broke Out In Gujrat's Himmatnagar, 4 Detained
In Gujarat's Himmatnagar region, a violent communal clash broke out on the night of April 11. The police detained four people after members of two different communities engaged in stone-pelting. Happened in the Vanzaravas area, the incident is the second such communal violence in Himmatnagar. The videos of the incident went viral on social media. SP Vishalkumar Vaghela registered a case and is investigating the matter.

Communal Clashes Reported In 4 States Amid Ram Navami Celebrations
Ram Navami celebrations became led to communal tension in four Indian states; West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Jharkhand. a riot-like situation broke out in MP's Khargone, Bengal's Howrah city, and Jharkhand's Lohardaga city. Whereas, in Gujarat, one death was reported due to the communal clashes. Furthermore, in all the regions, police and BSF forces took charge to control the situation and implemented law & order.
