Drones To Monitor Lockdown In China, Restrictions Escalated

In an attempt to monitor lockdown instructions, China government has deployed 60 police-run drones in the southern part of Guangzhou city. The drones are equipped with cameras and broadcasts messages to people requesting them to stay back at their homes. However, the number of COVID cases in the city has crossed 100, making it a concern for authorities. Moreover, several restrictions have been raised including ban on travel.

IOA Chief Denies Claims Of Tokyo Olympics Barring India's Entry

IOA Chief Narinder Batra said that there's zero truth in a Malaysian media's claim of ten countries including India being on verge of not acquiring entry into the Tokyo Olympics. Centre Announces To Procure, Distribute COVID Jabs To States, UTs

The Union government in its new guidelines on June 8 announced free COVID-19 vaccine doses to the states and UTs. Reportedly, the vaccines will be allocated to the States and UTs based on their population, number of cases and the progress of vaccination drive. While the decision will be implemented in two weeks by June 21, the Centre also warned, “Wastage of vaccine will affect the allocation negatively.”
