Kerala, Bihar, Chhattisgarh Decide To Vaccinate People Above 18 Free

Following Assam, governments of Kerala, Bihar and Chhattisgarh have also announced that vaccination of those aged 18 or above will be done free of cost. Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan also requested the Centre to exempt the states from buying vaccines as they are already under financial burden. While Bihar has currently imposed night curfew, Kerala government has assured of not implementing any lockdown.

West Bengal Government Allocates Rs 100 Cr For Universal Vaccination

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on April 21 announced that the state government has allocated Rs 100 crore for COVID-19 vaccination. She said the universal vaccination drive will begin on May 5, days after the announcement of the West Bengal Assembly elections results on May 2. Questioning the variations in the vaccine price for the Centre, states and private firms, CM Mamata said she would write to PM Narendra Modi.
