Ministry Of Finance Releases Post, Confirms IT Raids At 27 Locations
The Income Tax department conducted raids in 27 locations in Mumbai and Delhi NCR on July 5, said Union Finance Ministry on July 26. The search was on a group engaged inagro and textile business, mostly involved in the manipulation of performance of certain group companies on stock markets. Furthermore, the Union Ministry also confirmed unaccounted cash of Rs 1.4 crore has been seized during the search operations.

IMD Predicts Thunderstorms & Mild Rain In Delhi Over The Next 3 Days
Thunderstorms with light to moderate intensity rain were forecasted by India Meteorological Department (IMD) for the Delhi-NCR region, as well as surrounding regions in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. On May 20, parts of Delhi saw light rain and strong breezes, which persisted for a second day on May 21. IMD stated, "Wet spell over Northwest and East India during May 21 to 24 with peak intensity on May 23."

Juvenile Thrashes 70 Year Old Beggar Over Heated Argument: Delhi
In a heated argument, a juvenile allegedly beat Mohd Abdul Sattar Khan (70) beggar in Delhi's Mehrauli, confirmed police on May 9. Notably, DCP Benita Mary Jaiker said, "PCR call was received at Mehrauli police station about an injured elderly man lying in front of a dargah near Pahalwan Dhaba". Khan was rushed to AIIMS Trauma center, she said. The juvenile, also a beggar has been booked under IPC sections.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) president MK Stalin innaugurated 'Anna-Kalaignar Arivalayam', his party's new office in the national capital, on April 1. On a three-day visit to Delhi, he met PM Modi seeking permission to allow the state goverment to provide humanitarian aids to the Sri Lanka Tamils. Delhi Teen Found Throat Slit, Stuffed In Travel Bag
In Northwest Delhi's Mangolpuri area, the body of a 17-year-old boy was found stuffed in a purple colour travel bag. The boy reportedly went missing 24 hours prior. Police identified the body after inquiring about the missing persons. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Sameer Sharma said that the boy's throat was slit. A case under IPC section 363 has been registered at Rohini police station.

The Economic Survey 2021 revealed that national capital New Delhi managed to add over 5,000 recognised startups in the year 2021. Delhi's AQI Improves To 'Satisfactory' Category Amid Heavy Rainfall
After Delhi rains, the Air Quality Index (AQI) fell under "satisfactory" category from "moderate", on January 9. With heavy rainfall and thunderstorm, the National Capital's AQI is 90, the lowest in the past few months. The IMD and Regional Weather Forecasting Centre predicted light to moderated rainfall in isolated regions of Delhi like New Delhi, Lodi Road, Yamunanagar, Karnal and other regions for the next two-three days.
