3 Persons Killed In Road Accident Due To Fog: Rajasthan
At least three people have lost their lives in a road accident at Sriganganagar district of Rajasthan on January 20. Reportedly, two trucks collided due to heavy fog, resulting the death of truck drivers and a helper. A police official has said that one of the drivers was identified as Ramachandra Jat, while the other driver and the helper are yet to be identified.

Delhi's Auto Drivers Face Hardship Ahead Of Night Curfew
Auto drivers in Delhi have said that they are facing hardship, and their daily living is getting affected, due to curfew during night hours, in view of rising cases. Bharat Prasad, an auto driver has said that they are not getting enough passengers, because of night curfew, due to which their daily income gets affected. The government imposed a night curfew in Delhi, which was effective from December 27, 2021.

E-Rickshaw Driver Offers Free Rides If Passengers Answer GK Questions Correctly
Facebook user, Sankalan Sarkar took to Facebook about an e-rickshaw driver Suranjan Karmakar from Liluah in Bengal, who offers free rides to passengers who answer 15 General Knowledge questions correctly. As per sources, the driver is a 6th grade drop out due to financial crisis. Reportedly, the questions covered a wide range of sections. One of the questions asked by Karmakar was, "Who wrote Jana Gana Mana Adhi?"

Delhi To Provide Financial Assistance Of Rs 5,000 To Auto Drivers
The Delhi government has announced to provide financial assistance of Rs 5,000 to auto-drivers to support them during the lockdown. As per the state government, "Beneficiaries of the 2020 scheme need not reapply but will get the Rs 5,000 directly transferred to their bank accounts." The scheme will also benefit drivers of e-rickshaws, taxis, Gramin Sewa, eco-friendly Sewa and maxi cab drivers, after verification by the local authorities.

Karnataka Government Asks Retired Drivers To Work Amid Transport Strikes
Karnataka government has welcomed eligible retired drivers below the age of 62 years to work on a contract basis as the transport strike in Karnataka intensifies. Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has suspended 36 trainees while Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) suspended 96 drivers for their involvement in the ongoing protests. Amid COVID Scare, Uber Rolls Out Rider Mask Verification Selfie Feature
Uber on October 19 introduced a new mask-verification selfie feature in India to make the rides safer. Under this feature, the drivers, who have been mentioned for not wearing a mask for a previous trip, have to put out a selfie that shows them wearing a mask to book their next trip. In May 2020, Uber had designed a similar feature for drivers in India for raising the safety bar.
