Russia Court Convicts Brittney Griner In Drug Case, Biden Says "Unacceptable"
American Basketball player Brittney Griner has been convicted in a drug case and was announced to nine-years imprisonment. On August 4, a Russian Court announced the verdict in Drugs Case, when officials found vape canisters containing cannabis oil in her luggage at Moscow Airport in February. Meanwhile, United States President Joe Biden called out on Russia, demanding the release of Griner terming the verdict as "unacceptable".

SC To Hear SAD Leader Bikram Singh Majithia's Plea Seeking Quashing Of FIRs Against Him
The Supreme Court has admitted Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia's plea seeking quashing of FIRs filed against him. Reportedly, the FIRs filed against Majithia by Punjab Police under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Act, will be challenged, as the plea is scheduled to be heard on April 26. Majithia who was granted protection against arrest till February 23, surrendered himself after the expiry of the said period.

Special Team To Probe Aryan Khan's Case; Wankhede Removed From Drugs Case
Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Narcotics Control Bureau will be reaching Mumbai from Delhi on November 6. As per reports, the team will be taking over Aryan Khan's case which was earlier lead by Sameer Wankhede, Zonal Director of NCB. Moreover, the SIT will be probing three more drug cases in Mumbai, including the case in which Maharashtra Minister Nawab Mallik's son-in-law Sameer Khan is involved, said reports.

Bail For Aryan Khan Under Many Conditions: Mumbai High Court
Mumbai High Court on October 29 made certain conditions before releasing the 23-year-old Aryan Khan on bail, accused in the drugs on cruise case. He wouldn't leave the city, submit a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh, and surrender his passport. Moreover, he has to reach the NCB office to attend the court hearing each Friday. The court can cancel the bail order, in case he fails any conditions.

If Birth Certificate Is Fake, Wankhede Should Show Original One: Nawab Malik
After NCB Zonal Head Sameer Wankhede released a statement clarifying his family details, Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik on October 26, said that the birth certificate of Wankhede is not fake. "If it's fake, then he should show us the original one," he added. Last week Malik said that he will not stop until the NCB officer is put behind bars. Moreover, he also raised questions over the cruise drug case.

Shah Rukh Hires Salman Khan's Lawyer To Represent Son Aryan Khan
Shah Rukh Khan has hired a new lawyer, Amit Desai, to represent son Aryan Khan in the Mumbai cruise drugs case. Aryan's bail plea hearing will take place on, October 13. Advocate Amit Desai, who got Salman AKhan acquitted in the 2002 hit-and-run case has been hired by Shah Rukh Khan to represent son Aryan. On October 11, Amit represented Aryan Khan in court.

Court Rejects Bail For Shah Rukh Khan's Son Aryan In Drugs Case
The judge hearing the case of Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, rejected the bail request, on October 4. Aryan has been put under the custody of anti-drugs agency of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) till October 7, however, the Agency has asked for an extension of custody till October 11 to question him. Reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan did not turn up for Aryan's bail hearing.

Drug Case 2017: Tollywood Actor Rakul Preet Singh Appears Before ED
In connection with the drug case, Tollywood actor Preet Singh appeared before the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) zonal office in Hyderabad. However, the drug racket was revealed in 2017, and since then several film personalities have been arrested by the ED. Earlier, on August 31, film director Puri Jagannadh also appeared before the authorities under the drug racket case in Hyderabad.
