Semester Exams For All Colleges To Be Conducted Online, Says TN Minister K Ponmudy
In view of the COVID-19 surge, Tamil Nadu's Higher Education Minister K Ponmudy on January 21, said, from February 1 to February 20, all the exams in colleges will be conducted online. The decision over the opening of colleges will be taken after February 20. "The exams for the final semester (after June) will be held physically," said Ponmudy. Meanwhile, vaccination drive for school students aged between 15-18 is underway.

School Uniform To Soon Be Made Mandatory In Kerala
The uniforms in schools of Kerala would be made compulsory from December 13, said Kerala Education minister V Sivankutty on December 4. He further added school hostels and schools for the differently-abled will be allowed to resume from December 8. Owing to the seat shortage in 21 taluks, the government has decided to sanction 72 additional Plus One batches, comprising 61 science batches, 61 humanities, and 10 commerce batches.

Govt To Provide Tablets To 75k First-year UG Students: J&K
Concluding his five-day visit to Kashmir, junior Education Minister Subhas Sarkar on October 3 announced that about 75,000 first-year students of UnderGraduate courses in Jammu and Kashmir would be given tablets. Delhi Govt Schools Conduct 'Mega' Parent- Teacher Meet
A Mega PTM was conducted in Delhi Government schools, and it is shown that 97% of the parents stated that more such meetings should be conducted to enhance the children's performances. SCERT conducted a study which cited that 70% of the parents believed that the "school-environment" has been changed as they are well maintained and cleaner than before. Schools, Colleges To Reopen from September 1: Delhi Government
Delhi Government has decided to reopen schools and colleges from September 1 after the Disaster Management Authority has issued guidelines for the same. According to the DDMA guidelines, the institutions will be allowed to function at only 50 percent capacity. Under the guideline, it is mandatory to set up quarantine rooms for emergency use and everyone must follow Covid-19 norms given by the government.

Ladakh To Get New 'Sindhu Central University' For Rs 760 Crore
The people of the Union Territory of Ladakh will get a new central university, as the Lok Sabha passed the bill on August 7.
