US, Europe, China Responsible For Historical Emissions: Javadekar

Environment minister Prakash Javadekar has blamed the US, Europe and China for historical carbon emissions. Claiming "Climate change isn’t an overnight phenomenon", Minister Javadekar said that India contributed only 3% to the emissions. Scientists, Historians Join Hands To Recreate Ancient European Smells

To recreate the aromas present in Europe between 16th and early 20th century, a team of researchers has announced a three-year project. The team comprising scientists and historians from across the Europe and UK is planning to develop an online encyclopedia of the European aromas. The 2.8 million euro project, named "Odeuropa", will use Artificial Intelligence to describe odours in historical texts and spot aromatic items within pictures.

UK Faces Record Number of Migrant Crossings In September

The United Kingdom has recorded nearly 1880 migrants reaching its land in September, almost equal to the number that arrived in the whole of 2019. Authorities stated that the favorable warm weather and calm seas in the English channel led to a surge in the numbers. Usually, migrants take the northern France border route, through trucks or ferries. However due to COVID-19 restrictions, they sailed in small boats arranged by smugglers.

Travel Company Announces Bus Voyage From Delhi to London

Gurugram-based travel company Adventures Overland has announced the "first-ever hop-on/hop-off" 20-seater bus service from Delhi to London, called ‘Bus to London’. Reportedly, the bus will cover around 20,000 km in 70 days, touching the land of 18 countries including Thailand, China, Russia and Germany among others. The visa and staying arrangements en route will also be made by the company. It will cost Rs 15 lakh per person.
