1 Died, 2 Injured While Marching Towards Delhi For Protests
According to Haryana's Bhiwani Police, a farmer has lost his life while marching towards Delhi to protest the farm bills on November 27. The unfortunate incident took place when a speeding truck hit the farmer's tractor-trolley near Mundhal village. The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Tanna Singh, whose body farmers has refused to hand over to the police. Besides, the two injured have been admitted at a hospital.

Punjab Congress MPs Raise Issues Of Farm Laws, Goods Trains Before Amit Shah
A group of eight Lok Sabha Congress MPs from Punjab met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on November 7 and raised several issues. The issues included farm laws, restarting goods train services in Punjab, and payment of GST compensation to the state. A senior Congress MP informed that the Home Minister has taken the gravity of the matter into consideration has hinted upon having a discussion with the state CM Amarinder Singh.

After Punjab, Rajasthan Assembly Introduces Farm Bills to Nullify Centre's Farm Laws
Amid farmers protest, Rajasthan government placed three bills in State Assembly to nullify the Centre’s farm law. On the first day of Assembly session minister Shanti Dhariwal introduced the bills. The development came after CM Ashok Gehlot had earlier said Rajasthan will stand with Punjab in bypassing ‘anti farmer laws'. Congress had also asked the CMs of states ruled by the party to pass their laws in assembly to negate Centre's law.

Punjab: Rahul Gandhi To Lead 3-Day Tractor Rally Against Farm Bills
Congress' vice-president Rahul Gandhi will participate in the tractor rally on October 4 against the agriculture bills. The rally is scheduled for three days, and will cover the areas from Moga to Patiala. Punjab's Chief Minister Amarinder Singh will also join the protest with other party leaders. The protest will begin on October 4 after a public meeting at at Badni Kalan in Nihal Singh Wala in Moga district.

Agriculture Bills Will Increase Farmers' Income, Says Piyush Goyal
Union Minister Piyush Goyal on September 30 stated that the farm bills will be a turning point in the history of Indian agriculture. He stated that the bills would increase farmers' income opportunities as they will be free to sell their produce in mandis, and can avail the option of Minimum Support Price also. Earlier, all the three farm bills passed by the Parliament received the President's assent.

SAD Walks Out Of NDA Alliance In Protest Against Farmer's Bill
The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), ally of the Bharatiya Janata Party, has quit the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on September 27 citing differences over the farmer's bill. The decision was taken during a core-committee meeting between the senior members of the SAD party that went on for almost three hours. Party chief, Sukhbir Singh Badal, informed through Twitter that this decision was taken due to the "Centre's stubbornness".

Odisha Farmers Protest Farm Bills; Congress, Left Join Them
Demanding a withdrawal of the agriculture bills passed by the Centre, farmers in Odisha held a protest on September 25 that was joined by Congress and the Left parties as well. Akshay Kumar led Naba Nirman Krushak Sangathan (NNKS) activists rallied in different districts and protested the passing of the bills. Punjab Congress Leader Says Farmers Income Lowest in 2020
Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal said that farmers' income has slumped to 14-year lowest in 2020, though PM Narendra Modi had assured of doubling it. He said, "The growth in the agriculture sector currently is 3.1 percent, which was higher when the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) was in power." He further added that Punjab government is ready to challenge the farmers' bill in the Supreme Court.
