Ganesh Idol Business Affected After Ban On Plaster Of Paris: Hyderabad

The markets in Hyderabad sell a huge amount of Ganesh idols, ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi on August 31. However this year, vendors have claimed that their businesses have been affected after the ban on use of Plaster or Paris. With this, sourcing raw materials have reportedly become challenging, and manufacturing the idols have become expensive. Meanwhile, the increase prices are also affecting the customers.

Section 144 to remain during Ganesh Chaturthi and Muharram
Govt Prohibits Immersion of Ganesh Idols and Burial of Tazias: Lucknow

Public gatherings for the festivals of Ganesh Chaturthi and Muharram will not be permitted this year. According to an order issued by the joint commissioner of Law, Police and Order, the prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC, will be extended till September 15. The immersion of Ganesh idols and burial of Tazias will not be permitted. Police confirmation would be required for any gathering of more than five people.
