Twitter Handle Of UP Govt, Punjab Congress Hacked, Restored Later

Early on April 11, the official Twitter handles of the Uttar Pradesh Government and the Punjab Congress were hacked by an unknown. The news came to light after the hackers shared a series of random posts on the feed. However, the two accounts were restored immediately.  In the past few days, unknown hackers are targeting official websites of national agencies like IMD, UGC, and others.

UP Govt Signs Lease Agreement For Transfer Of Land For Ayodhya Airport

On April 7, the Civil Aviation Department of the Uttar Pradesh government signed a lease agreement with the Airports Authority of India (AAI). In addition, the deal was signed in connection with the transfer of 317.855 acres of land on lease for the Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya. “By next year, we will be in a position to provide five international airports to the country,'' stated Yogi.

UP Assembly Speaker To Be Elected On March 29

After Yogi Adityanath's oath-taking ceremony as CM, the BJP led UP Government will now elect the Assembly Speaker on March 29. The name will be announced during a legislature meeting, scheduled to be held in the UP Assembly Secretariat, at 3 pm. Nominations for the speaker will be filed till evening of March 28. Furthermore, the MLAs will also take oath from March 28, administered by protem speaker Ramapati Shastri.

SC Asks Yogi Adityanath Govt To Refund Fines Collected From CAA Protestors

Uttar Pradesh Government Relaxes Night Curfew Timings: Covid-19

Amid declining coronavirus cases in UP, the state government has decided to relax night curfew timings. New timings are 11 pm to 6 am from the previous 10 pm to 6 am, night curfew amid new variant Omicron. Meanwhile, the state government will also reopen schools for classes Nursery to Class 12 from February 14. Notably, Uttar Pradesh recorded 1,776 fresh Covid-19 cases and 10 deaths on February 13.

Jhansi Railway Station Renamed As 'Veerangana Laxmibai Railway Station': UP

After getting the approval of the central government, the Uttar Pradesh Government changed the name of Jhansi railway station to Veerangana Laxmibai railway station, on December 29. UP Govt To Construct Houses For Poor On Free Mafia Land: CM Yogi

UP CM Yogi Adityanath has announced to construct houses for poor people under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna. The construction will be on lands, freed from the mafia. UP Govt Increases DA For Staff To 31% From 28%

Ahead of Christmas, the Uttar Pradesh government announced a hike in the dearness allowance (DA) for its employees on December 15. The government employees will now receive 31 per cent DA instead of 28 per cent, informed Chief Minister's Office (CMO) in a tweet. Reportedly, the decision comes into effect from July 2021.
