SC Sends Notice To Gujarat Government In Response To Asaram Bapu's Bail Application
Supreme Court has given the Gujarat government notice in response to a petition for bail filed by self-described godman Asaram Bapu, who cited his advanced age and failing health as reasons. A bench of Justices asked Gujarat for a response and scheduled the case for hearing on September 7. Asaram is facing rape and illegal detention accusations after one of his former Gujarat devotees accused him of sexual abuse.

Indian Army Releases Notification For Agnipath Scheme; Recruitment Begins From July
Indian Army published a notification on June 20 for Agniveer recruiting drive commencing from July, which is part of Agnipath short-term service plan. UP Govt Issues Circular Aiming Safety Of Working Women
In order to provide a safe environment to female workers in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi Adityanath-led BJP Government issued an order. On May 28, the UP Labour Department issued a circular that read, "No female worker shall be bound to work without her written consent before 6 am and after 7 pm". Furthermore, it also mandated the companies to provide transport, free food, and supervision if working beyond 7 pm.

Delhi HC Issues Notice To Amarnath Shrine Board Over Helicopter Service
Delhi High Court issued a notice to the Amarnath Yatra Shrine Board, in accordance with a petition filed seeking online bookings of helicopter services in Jammu and Srinagar. The petition complained that due to the unavailability of online bookings, pilgrims are suffering and black-marketing is happening. In regard to this, the Delhi HC issued notice and asked the shrine to file an affidavit, and adjourned the matter to May 31.

MP HC Issues Notices To Centre, State Govt In Bhojshala Monument Dispute
Madhya Pradesh High Court issued notices to the Centre, state government, Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), and other parties over the Bhojshala monument dispute on May 10. The ASI-protected Bhojshala is a Hindu temple dedicated to Waghdevi (Saraswati). The Muslim community refers to it as the Kamal Maula Mosque. Notices were issued in response to two PILs submitted by Hindu Front for Justice and other Hindu community members.

Delhi HC Issues Notice To Rahul, Sonia Gandhi & Other Leaders: Delhi Riots 2020
Delhi HC issued fresh notice to prominent leaders like Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and activists, over hate speech in 2020 Delhi riots. As per ANI, on March 22, the HC reviewed a petition filed, demanding FIRs against politicians for spreading communal hatred, after the riots, which killed approximately 200 people. The HC bench also expressed displeasure over petitioners for not filing the process fees in the matter.

SC Asks Yogi Adityanath Govt To Refund Fines Collected From CAA Protestors

BMC Issues Notice To Sonu Sood Over 6-Storey Hotel In Juhu
Actor Sonu Sood received another legal notice from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), asking him to convert a six-storey structure into a residential building from a hotel in Juhu. Reportedly, the actor, in July had said that he'd restore the project to a residential facility but failed to do so. ''This office observed that you haven't yet restored the work as per the approved plan,'' read the notice.

Zee Appeals To Bombay HC Over ‘Illegal & Invalid' Letter From Top Shareholder
Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd has filed a petition with the Bombay High Court, claiming that a demand letter given by its top shareholders, Invesco-Developing-Markets-Fund and OFI-Global-China-Fund, is "illegal and invalid." The company, on Oct 2, informed the National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange of the latest development. Earlier, Zee Board stated that the request had numerous legal flaws.
