Hardik Patel Joins BJP, Days After He Quit Congress

Former Congress leader Hardik Patel joined the opposition, BJP, on June 2. He wore the saffron scarf in the presence of Gujarat BJP President at the BJP's Gandhinagar Office, in Gujarat. Expressing happiness, Patel said, "I am about to start a new chapter with feelings of national interest, regional interest and social interest." He said he would work for the welfare of people under the leadership of PM Modi.

Former Congress Hardik Patel To Join BJP Soon In Gujarat, Says Party Spokesperson

Former Congress leader Hardik Patel  is all set to join the opposition BJP, confirmed a state party spokesperson on May 31. As per sources, Patel will join the BJP on June 2, in presence of Gujarat BJP President CR Paatil at headquarters. "It is confirmed that Hardik Patel will join the BJP on June 2," said Yagnesh Dave. Notably, Patel resigned from Congress over leadership issues earlier this month.

Hardik Patel Submits Resignation From Congress To Party Chief Sonia Gandhi: Gujarat

He has resigned as the Gujarat Congress working president as well as from the party's membership.
