Heat Waves Continues In Punjab, Haryana With Maximum Temperature
Hot weather conditions are rising in states like Haryana and Punjab, with the maximum temperatures hovering above normal limits in most cities. On June 8, the temperature was approximately over 44 degrees celsius, and is likely to continue in the coming days, says IMD. The environment is getting hot with heatwaves, following which people residing in Punjab and Haryana were asked to stay hydrated and avoid venturing out in Sun.

IMD Issues Heatwave Alert In Delhi, 40 Degrees Celsius Maximum Temperature
the IMD issued a heatwave alert for Delhi, as the temperature is to rise with a maximum temperature to be over 40-degree mark. On May 11, the national capital witnessed 40 degrees Celsius with moist and humid weather. While the maximum temperature is over 40 degrees and the minimum temperature settled at 28 degrees Celsius. As per IMD, a fresh heatwave spell is likely to start on May 13.

PM Modi To Review Heatwaves, Monsoon Situation In India After Europe Trip
After returning from a Europe trip, PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to hold several meetings on May 5. He will chair meetings to discuss and review preparedness to deal with the heatwave affecting parts of the country, the upcoming monsoon seas, on and other issues in the nation. Notably, PM Modi will attend Prime Minister's office, immediately after arriving in India from a Europe trip, aiming bilateral ties.

Odisha School Timings Revised Amid Heatwave
Schools in Odisha have reopened with revised timings, as per the state government instructions, thanks to concerns over ongoing heatwaves in the region. The Odisha education department announced on 1st May, "Keeping the current scenario of heatwave into consideration, the teaching hours for all schools have been rescheduled." The school hours in the state will now be from 6:00 AM till 9:00 AM.

IMD Issues Heatwave Alerts In National Capital From April 6
In Delhi, the temperature which touched 40 degrees Celsius is likely to go beyond 43 degrees Celsius in the coming days, said the Indian Meteorological Department. On April 6, the Central agency said, "The heatwave spell likely is to continue over most parts of Northwest India and Madhya Pradesh during the next five days." Furthermore, it is noted that Delhi recorded nil rainfall in March.

IMD Issues Heat Wave Warning For Odisha, Advises Elders To Stay Indoors
Odisha is likely to witness record-breaking heat waves in seven districts. Northern Indian Plains To Witness 3-4°C Temperature Drop, Says IMD
The scorching heatwave over the north Indian plains and hills has subsided while no heatwaves are likely to be experienced in the next five days, IMD said. The temperature is expected to drop by 3-4°C in the next five days. The fall in temperature is due to the south-westerly winds from the Arabian Sea. However, the discomfort will continue owing to an increase in humidity.
