BCCI Announces 3-Days Short Break To Indian Squad Ahead Of Ireland Match

In order to provide rest to the Indian squad ahead of the Ireland-India series, the BCCI announced a three-day break before it leaves for the two-match series in Malahide. On June 20, the BCCI said, "All the players selected for the Ireland T20s are going home for a three-day break."  Notably, after the break, the Hardik Pandya-led Indian squad will assemble in Mumbai on June 23.

IPL 2022 Mega Auction Concludes; 204 Players Sold For Rs 551.7 Cr

IPL auction 2022 concluded on February 13, in Bengaluru, Karnataka. According to the IPL official Twitter handle, top 10 players in the bid are Ishan Kishan (Rs 15.25 crores -MI), Deepak Chahr (Rs 14 crores- CSK), Shreyas Iyer (Rs 12.25 crores- KKR,) Liam Livingston (Rs 11.50 cr- Punjab Kings) and Shardul Thakur Rs 10.75 cr to Delhi Capitals. In total, 10 IPL teams spent Rs 551.7 crores to buy 204 players.

India To Host IPL 2022 With No Crowd Audience, Says BCCI Official

The BCCI officials confirmed IPL 2022 to be held in India. Amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the IPL 15th edition is expected in India with no crowd audience. Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium, Cricket Club of India and DY Patil Stadium are some of the suggestions for the IPL venue. However, the BCCI will take a final decision for same after considering the COVID-19 situation. Notably, 1,214 players registered for IPL 2022.

The event was organised by the Physically Challenged Cricket Association (PCCA) with Differently Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI.)

BCCI Announces Indian Squad For 2022 ICC Under 19 World Cup

The BCCI announced the Indian cricket squad for the 2022 ICC Under 19 World Cup, on December 19. The team includes Yash Dhull as Captain, SK Rasheed as VC, Aaradhya Yadav, and Dinesh Bana as WKs. The tournament will be held in West Indies between January 14 to February 5. India will be competing against 15 teams in 48 matches. So far, India has won the title four times.

ICC Fines India For Slow Over Rate Against 5th T20I Against England

The ICC has charged the Indian Cricket Team 40% of their match earnings as a fine for maintaining a slow over-rate in the fifth T20I against England. The ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees fined India for two overs short. Reportedly, as per Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct of Players, the teams are charged 20% of the match fee per over for failing to deliver in the allotted time.
