Indonesia: Ivermectin Drug Suffers Surge In Price
As Indonesia is swept by the spiraling surge of COVID-19 cases citizens are stocking up on a 'miracle cure' of Ivermectin backed by politicians and influencers, despite health warnings. Ivermectin, an oral treatment to cure lice and other parasitic infections has been out of stock in many pharmacies. The prices of Ivermectin have shot up to 300,000 rupiahs ($12-$21) a bottle from 175,000 rupiahs owing to a shortage.
