Netizens Raise Rs 13 Lakh To Rebuild Burnt Mysuru Library
Coming in support of Mysuru librarian Syed Issaq, whose library was burnt to ashes, the netizens have raised Rs 13 lakh to reconstruct his library. Reportedly, the private-run library was allegedly burnt by anti-Kannada miscreants on April 9. However, now social media has become a silver lining for the 62-year-old librarian, who was determined to rebuild it even alone. Reportedly, the library consisted 11,000 books on different religions.

Karnataka CM Urges NRIs From the State to Aid Educational Institutions
Karnataka CM B S Yediyurappa urged American NRIs of the state to help in the improvement of schools and colleges. Addressing at the launch of the World Kannada Conference, organized by the Association of Kannada Kootas of America (AKKA), the CM thanked the NRIs for their financial aid during the pandemic and the floods. "Generosity is the other name for Kannadigas," he added.
